The Police Arboretum Memorial Trust have established a Names Committee that will examine all issues associated with the names of some 4,000 officers and staff to be commemorated on the new Memorial to ensure that the integrity of the Memorial is maintained.
The new UK Police Memorial to be built at the National Memorial Arboretum (NMA) in Staffordshire to commemorate and remember fallen police officers and police staff is to be delayed by up to 12 months.
AFTER swimming almost 100 miles, cycling for 2,500 miles and running over 600 miles in consecutive triathlons over 100 days, the Editor of Police Professional, Paul Lander, finishes his final Olympic-distance triathlon next Thursday, 7th February at National Memorial Arboretum (NMA) in Staffordshire.

The Editor of Police Professional, Paul Lander, is to embark on 100 consecutive days of triathlons in aid of the UK Police Memorial.
The Surrey Police Band have raised £1,000 in aid of the UK Police Memorial, the charity of the year of Chief Constable Nick Ephgrave.
The names of over 1,400 police officers and police staff who have been killed on duty will be inscribed on the physical memorial to be built at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, whilst a further 4,000 names of those who have died on duty will be remembered.
ALMOST £2,000 has been raised by members of the Police family who walked 20 miles along the banks of the River Thames on Saturday, 15th September in aid of the UK Police Memorial, as part of the Thin Blue Line Thames Riverwalk.
