Chancellor pledges support for new memorial to UK Police

The Chancellor, George Osborne, has announced £1 million in government support for the development of a new memorial to honour the United Kingdom’s Police Service, to be built at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The announcement was made at a reception held on behalf of the Police Arboretum Memorial Trust at Number 11 Downing Street, attended by business leaders, Chief Constables and Police and Crime Commissioners.
